- Our price is based on the hanging weight of the animal, actual pricing won’t be known until the animal is slaughtered.
- We charge $8.00/lb of hanging weight, and our butcher charges $1.69 per lb for a total of $9.69/lb. That price includes custom butcher and wrap. There will be added costs based on if you choose to have bacon made, sausages and a few others.
- Our whole pigs average 250 lbs. hanging weight so total comes out to around $2,422.00 (again, Varies by weight and what custom options you choose at the butchery)
Deposit goes toward final price.
How it works: You reserve your whole Pig Share today with a $500.00 deposit. We will go out in the pasture and select the healthiest & best quality pig. On slaughter day or the very next day we will get ahold of you with your hanging weight and send an invoice for final payment to us based on our $8/lb minus your deposit. We then put the pig into your name!! We'll have our expert butcher at Sonoma County Meats call you directly to go over your preferences and process your pig.
When it is ready for pickup, you will pay them over the phone or via invoice for your custom butchering. Once Sonoma Meats is paid in full, we will pick it up in Sonoma at our earliest convenience (we are down there usually every week) and bring it home to Shasta County to get to you directly.
If you live in Sonoma County, Pickup will be at Sonoma County Meats,
located at 35 Sebastopol Ave, Santa Rosa.
